THELMA & LOUISE

On a whim, Louise (Rachel Tucker) invites her best friend Thelma (Amy Lennox) for a spontaneous weekend getaway. After an ill-fated encounter with a stranger at a roadside honkytonk, their lifelong friendship is forged into something dangerous and unbreakable. Propelled by a soaring musical score, they set out on a last-chance adventure in a world where every card is stacked against them.

More than thirty years after the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning film, writer Callie Khouri reimagines her iconic road movie, Thelma & Louise, as a brand-new musical. With music and lyrics by Grammy-nominated artist Neko Case, this electrifying production, directed by Trip Cullman is wild, hilarious and will rip your heart out.

Based on the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Motion Picture "Thelma & Louise" written by Callie Khouri

No matter where you are from, what class you are placed. There are essential needs of love ingrained in all of us. FLYING FISH

"We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" (Oscar Wilde)

FLYING FISH was a self-guided and guided installation, the result of a German-Dutch collaboration. The two artist collectives, United Cowboys from Eindhoven and 687performance from Cologne, have been working together in multidisciplinary contexts for four years. FLYING FISH explored the dividing line between rituals and routines, traditions and tics, priestly consecration and charade. We are surrounded by them, everywhere and every day. The walk-through installation allowed visitors to find their own rhythm, their own path. They could come and go as they pleased, even at the risk of missing something. In this way, FLYING FISH became a personal performance for everyone.

TOYS

TOYS represents the game, the absolute, the disguise of human tragedy as a constant celebration. It is the wild pursuit of pleasure to trick the wait, it is the loss of oneself within a group, the morning after' the hangover, the oblivion.
It is the end of a party, the fall down of euphoria, the moment when bodies bask, when souls become lost and save one another. If “waiting is the essential aspect of our human condition” (The Theatre of the Absurd, Martin Esslin), then does forgetting become our salvation? Are pleasures becoming tricks into which we lose ourselves to forget the waiting?

WASTELAND

‘In 1994, the European Study of Deprivation named my home village of Grimethorpe as one of the poorest villages in Europe. As poverty and depression shattered through the village, the future looked bleak for my generation. The birth of the rave culture gave many of us the opportunity to escape these grim and grey realities and into a new world of expressive music and hard core dance. WASTELAND is my attempt at recapturing this pivotal time in British history when industrial Britain fell and a new sub culture emerged. I owe my passion for movement and dance to this time and the people who lived it’

COAL

Marking the 30th anniversary of the end of the 1984/85 British Miners’ strike, award winning choreographer Gary Clarke proudly presents COAL, a riveting dance theatre show which takes a nostalgic look at the hard hitting realities of life at the coal face.

Strong, powerful and emotive, COAL explores the darker underbelly of the mining industry unearthing the true nature and body wrecking demands of a working class industry now almost forgotten.

Bringing together Clarke’s striking physical language performed by a company of 7 stunning professional dancers, a local community cast of women and a live brass band, COAL is an emotional, moving and ever-relevant exploration of community, solidarity and survival.
